Contract Announcement: Assessment of Key Marine Tourism Sites in Haida Gwaii

The MaPP Initiative seeks to contract a consultant or consulting team to identify and describe key sites that support sustainable marine-based tourism around Haida Gwaii, assess sustainable levels of tourism at these sites, and identify potential management strategies associated with tourism development.

Contract Period: September 5, 2017 – January 22, 2018

To Apply:

Please submit, via email, a project proposal that outlines the proposed project approach, proposed mapping software, names of consultants, qualifications, fees and expense projections by task. The proposal should also include the minimum number of key sites to be subject to assessment. Please include a sample of similar work undertaken. Extensions to the submission timeline may be granted if there are insufficient applications.

Proposals are due by 5pm on August 29, 2017.

Contract Announcements: Haida Gwaii Labour Market Study

(PART 1) Statement of Work

Gwaii Trust and the Marine Plan Partnership for the North Pacific Coast (MaPP) seek to undertake a skills gap analysis to identify labour force needs of employers, labour market attachment, training and career interests of residents on Haida Gwaii.

Contract Remuneration:

Up to a contract maximum of $15,000 inclusive of GST, fees and all expenses including travel if required and any data entry costs.

Qualifications, Experience, Skills:

Expertise in the fields of data collection, and designing and conducting surveys.

(PART 2) Statement of Work

Gwaii Trust and the Marine Plan Partnership for the North Pacific Coast (MaPP) seek to identify labour force imbalances and human resources planning activities to address concurrent challenges with high rates of unemployment and a lack of qualified local applicants to fill vacancies in a variety of industries on Haida Gwaii.

Contract Remuneration:

Up to a contract maximum of $40,000 inclusive of GST, fees and all expenses, including travel if required and any data entry costs.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills:

Expertise in the fields of labour market analysis and forecasting or human resources.
